First Friday: Battlestar Galactica 

When Battlestar Galactica returned as a rebooted series in 2004 people had no idea that it would become a pop culture phenomenon recognized for its intense drama, social commentary and adventurous spirit. he St. Louis Science Center commemorates the franchise as part of its First Friday series, with Welcome to Battlestar Galactica: So Say We All. Activities include trivia, cosplay and screenings of classic and newer episodes in the OMNIMAX Theater. Dr. Doug Beason lectures on the technology and tactics in Battlestar Galactica: The Future Is Now, and you can try your hand at Battlestar Scienza, an interactive game that tests decision-making skills.

6-10 p.m., Fri., Dec. 5. St. Louis Science Center (5050 Oakland Avenue; 314-289-4400 or Lecture tickets are $4-$5, all other programming is free.
