First We Take Manhattan

Then we get married

The Free Family Film Festival at the Regal St. Louis Mills Stadium 18 theater at St. Louis Mills Mall (5555 St. Louis Mills Boulevard, Hazelwood; 314-227-5503 or www.stlouismills.com) is ostensibly for kids — but that doesn't mean young-at-heart adults can't avail themselves of a bit of cinematic candy-floss goodness, too. Especially if that goodness involves Muppets. Every Tuesday and Wednesday through August 6, two free movies (one rated G, one PG) screen at 10 a.m.; the G film this Tuesday and Wednesday (July 15 and 16) is The Muppets Take Manhattan, the least appreciated of the Muppet films. Yes, it's the one that introduces the Muppet Babies concept (ugh), but it also features an amnesiac Kermit working at a staffed-by-frogs advertising agency and the famous musical wedding of Kermit and Miss Piggy. And it's free — that's something even Statler and Waldorf would love.
