Flock to Flamenco

Ah, Friday, you almost didn't get here fast enough! Just when we were circling the drain that was our week, you appeared and saved the day, so to speak. Though your mere arrival can't keep us out of the office for our mandatory eight hours of drudgery, it can practically guarantee an awesome evening — especially for those of us who will be experiencing Una Noche de Flamenco (that is, a night of flamenco). This Spanish dance style is sensual, spicy and oh-so vacationy, and thanks to local group Los Flamencos (www.los-flamencos.com) and Julia Chacón, a dancer, choreographer and teacher known the world over, St. Louisans will have the privilege of watching the form spring to life tonight at the Chapel (6238 Alexander Drive, Clayton). Beginning at 8 p.m. these performers dance, play guitar and sing, giving our weekend a helping of culture, a ton of talent and a heap of good music. To attend the evening's festivities, pay $20 at the door, and note that your admission includes two drinks. Cheers to that! And cheers to your weekend.
