Belly dancing is an ancient art form, but that doesn't mean it hasn't progressed with the times. The delectably titillating Angels and Absinthe Bellydance Spectacular offers a full evening of traditional belly dance blended with a darker, gothic edge starting at 7:30 p.m. this evening at the Fox Hole (4140 Manchester Avenue; 314-775-0775 or angelsabsinthe2011.wordpress.com). Ami Amoré and Exotic Rhythms Bellydance have lined up quite a roster of performers for the show, which features Ariellah, Tempest and Ms. Amoré herself writhing, undulating and balancing swords. An after-party follows the spectacular, with music from Alpha Static. Admission is $10 at the door.
