Fun Intended

It's the Funny Bone, after all

You've been watching a lot of the MTV channels lately, and you're on the verge of thinking that Boiling Points and Punk'd are actually high comedy. Indeed, you have put yourself in a very dangerous position, friend. The only way to save yourself now is to change out of that sweatpants uniform you've been sporting for the better part of a week and drive out to the Westport Funny Bone (I-270 and Page Avenue, 614 Westport Plaza, Maryland Heights; www.funnyboneusa.com/stlouis). There, you can catch a real comedian in action when Auggie Smith does a six-night, nine-show stand (Wednesday through Monday, January 16 through 21). This funnyman has been going strong for fourteen years with his current-events/pop-culture commentaries, and he even makes regular appearances on The Bob & Tom Radio Show. Smith's performance times vary (he's on at 8 p.m. on Thursday), and admission costs $10 to $20. Reservations are required; call the Funny Bone at 314-469-6692 to save your spot!
