February 13th was declared Black Love Day in order to pay homage to representation and to highlight our love, whether with ourselves our loved ones, and journeying to our identities of self love and adornment. Future Akoma is to represent our hearts as black folx moving forward in our experiences and to creatives seeking salvation and outlet in our ancestry and with our art making. We birth worlds within creation just as our ancestors did before us.
Black visual artists will display work on their experiences, self love, their muses.
