For years CHARIS, the St. Louis Women's Chorus, has entertained you with beautiful harmonies and an acceptance-based atmosphere, along with a generous dose of good humor. CHARIS’ new show, Gender Polka, will have you laughing until your sides hurt and questioning the limitations of what the terms "man" and "woman" mean. The song selection includes popular songs that they've put a choral twist on, such as “I Enjoy Being a Girl,” “When I Was a Boy” and “Here's Where I Stand” from the delightful musical La Cage aux Folles. The concert takes place from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum, (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; www.charischorus.org). Tickets are $13 to $25.
