Game On

Ladies and germs, good news: It's pro-hockey time again. Our St. Louis Blues versus New York Rangers tonight is the first game of the 2014-15 regular season, and why not get pumped about it? Or jacked. Or stoked. Or all of the above. Get whatever you choose, but be sure to get to Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; 314-622-5400 or www.scottradecenter.com) in time for the first faceoff. As you know if you follow the sport at all, the Rangers won the Eastern Conference last season but stalled out against the noxious Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals. If the Blues can prevail against New York tonight, it'll be a fine start to the new season. The trick is to scoot some pucks past Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist -- no easy feat, old dapper Hank being one of the quickest, most agile netminders ever to defend a pair of posts. Tickets for the 7 p.m. game are $61.80 to $382.50.
