Bevo Mill

Apr 18, 2001 at 4:00 am
In a town with so much German history, St Louisans know where to go for authentic German food. Bevo Mill offers traditional dishes such as sauerbraten (beef marinated in apple-cider vinegar for four days until it's tender) and beef rouladen with a pickle in middle. People also come back for the red cabbage, German potato salad, potato pancakes, bratwurst and beer. "Oh boy, do we serve German beer!" says manager Daren Miller. Bevo Mill offers 10-12 varieties of German beer, as well as German wines, and on weekends diners can catch the strolling musicians.
