Get a Jump on the Holidays with the Mafia's Help

The holidays are a stressful time, mostly because everybody and their brother are dropping hints about what they want for Christmas, and you can see your valuable free time diminishing with each name you add to your list. You should turn to the Mafia for help -- the St. Louis Craft Mafia, that is. The group of DIY crafters and artists join together to sell their finest handmade wares today from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 3125 Street (next door to the Archive Book Shop) at the Holi-DIY indie craft show. In addition to bringing together a selection of clothing, jewelry, art, home decor and other unique gift items, the Holi-DIY show features a courtyard firepit, a bar serving winter cocktails and gourmet locavore snacks from Cherokee Peach. And for the friend on your list who thinks they have everything, you can get your photo taken with a Steampunk Santa -- that's a gift nobody ever expects. Admission to Holi-DIY is free. For more information and a sneak-peek at the goods, visit www.holidiyshow.com.
