Get Connected

Ms. Day has a lot of lofty aspirations for the new year. She longs to be more in touch with her friends, she wants to be more connected to her community, and truly, she needs to have more fun. To get started on these goals — all of them, at once — she'll be attending the River City Professionals' first happy hour of 2010. This group gathers on the third Tuesday of each month to mix and mingle and, more important, raise money and awareness for a variety of good causes. In January the happy hour, complete with drink specials (fun!), will be held at Sol Lounge (4239 Lindell Boulevard) from 5:30 to 9 p.m., and the beneficiary is Safe Connections (, an organization that provides support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. To learn more about the event and about RCP's other activities, visit Admission to the happy hour is free.
