Get Down, Robin

Go 'head, get down

The enigmatic Robin Givens (why anyone would marry Mike Tyson is a mystery) continues to amaze. She was on Head of the Class and Diff'rent Strokes, she starred in Boomerang with Eddie Murphy, she had a role in one of our favorite made-for-TV movies (A Face to Die For, anyone?), and now, she's doing live theater. What can't this beauty do? Check her out in Je'Caryous Johnson's Men, Money & Gold Diggers, playing at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard) Thursday through Sunday (January 25 through 28). In this story a successful man tries to get his betrothed to sign a prenup ("We want prenup! Yeah."), and she would rather not. So will true love between these two triumph? Or will somebody get played? Find out when Gold Diggers hits the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (with 3 p.m. matinees on the weekend days). Tickets cost $29.50 to $45.50 (depending on which show you attend) and are available through MetroTix (314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com).
