Get Lucky?

According to online relationship expert Neil Clark Warren, more than 50 percent of American singles have not had a date in at least two years. In the online-dating scene, studies show that women are afraid of meeting a serial killer, while men are most concerned about meeting someone "fat." How are we ever gonna get anybody together? Tonight the Missouri History Museum screens a series of educational films from the 1940s and '50s filled with the time-tested tips that led to the baby boomer population explosion, decades before Al Gore created the Internet. How to Get a Date: Vintage Educational Films starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 314-746-4599 or www.mohistory.org). Admission is free and chocolates will be provided.
