Get Your Motor Runnin'

Cycle Showcase STL gathers rare and unusual motorcycles from private collections the world over and brings them to the Pageant (6161 Delmar Boulevard; 314-726-6161 or www.cycleshowcasestl.com) for a one-day-only exhibition. You'll see custom-built bikes, one-off models, antiques and historically significant motorcycles spanning the history of the vehicle. Most fun of all, though, is the American Motor Drome Wall of Death! This classic carnival sideshow takes place between the Pageant and Big Shark Bikes, and features vintage motorcycles from the 1920s circling and scaling the inside of a 30-foot-high barrel. The fun lasts from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. and includes a motorcycle-themed art exhibit down the street at the Regional Arts Commission (6128 Delmar Boulevard). Admission for the showcase and Wall of Death is $12 (kids younger than twelve are free), and admission to the art show is free.
