Farmers aren't the only ones who are busy with the late-summer harvest. Glassblowers are also working overtime, producing a crop of delicate cornucopia. If you don't already own one of these artisanal glass pumpkins, or if the one you have gets lonely holding down the autumnal fort, you'll have more than enough gourds and pumpkins and such to choose from at the Glass Pumpkin Patch Extravaganza, held from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight at the Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard). Admission to this Third Friday fun is free, but for $35 (or more), you can add some artsy and incredibly long-lasting pumpkins to your fall decor, plus you can catch some glassblowing demos, feast on food-truck offerings and enjoy some cocktails. To learn more, pay a visit to www.thirddegreeglassfactory.com.
