Disney’s The Lion King revisits the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard) this summer, bringing with it an array of rich costumes, lovable characters and familiar songs (including the memorable “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John and Tim Rice). It’s not easy being the lion cub whose dad is the pack's head honcho, but add personal tragedy, a struggling conscious and an excess of adventure to find one compelling performance that continues to enthrall audiences, all the while tackling the very grown-up and complex idea of the circle of life. The Tony Award-winning production has left many in awe thanks to director Julie Taymor’s dedication to bringing this cherished tale to the stage. The Lion King runs Tuesday through Sunday from August 15 to September 2. Ticket prices range from $28 to $90. For more information, call 314-534-1678 or visit www.fabulousfox.com.
