Lady arm wrestling is just like regular arm wrestling, except that there's a costume component and a great deal of theatricality involved. The combatants give themselves over-the-top names and personae, and also engage in WWE-type smack talking before getting down to the serious business of arm wrestling. It's also a benefit -- SLLAW was founded as a radical fund-raising mechanism to support local women's charities and women-initiated philanthropic efforts. Your $5 entrance fee helps Karen House, a house of hospitality for homeless women and children in north St. Louis.
