Haunted Maize

Residents have been getting lost in space since the Great Godfrey Maze launched its outer-space-themed "crop circle," an out-of-this-world labyrinth cut into seven acres of corn. For this especially eerie thirteenth season, the spooktacular Haunted Maze is coming back from the dead to lure brave young souls into its cold embrace. The Haunted Maze in Glazebrook Park (1401 Stamper Lane, Godfrey, Illinois; is open from dusk to 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in October (October 5 through 27). Each visitor should bring along a flashlight — you'll need it to ward off the unwanted spirits and navigate the maze's dark, twisting turns. General admission is $4 to $6, and kids younger than five get in free. Extra flashlights are available at the concession stand for purchase.
Fridays, Saturdays. Starts: Oct. 12. Continues through Oct. 27, 2012
