'Hawk Hunting

On a spring Sunday morning there's always going out for breakfast, maybe enjoying a nice walk or bike ride, or attending the faith service of your preference. Or there's professional hockey. "It's all good," as people used to say -- Sunday's shaping up quite nicely, isn't it? As for that hockey option, you're talking our St. Louis Blues vs. the Chicago Blackhawks on the big ice at Scottrade Center (1401 Clark Avenue; 314-622-5435 or www.scottradecenter.com). Naysayers are a dime a dozen; they've written the Blue Note off so many times we've lost count, but so what? At this writing the Blues are third in their division (Chicago leads). With the recent acquisition of defenseman Jay Bouwmeester, however, the team's chances of closing that gap are stronger than ever; witness the Blues breaking an eight-game losing streak against the 'Hawks on the road with a shootout victory in Chicago on April 4. Game time for today's tilt is 11:30 a.m., and tickets range from $51.80 to $378.35.
