Adam Carolla has been a contract builder, a boxer and the host of the original incarnation of The Man Show — machismo is kind of his thing. So the fact that he titled his book In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks should come as no surprise, but it also shouldn't be dismissed as hyperbole. Consider the latest trends in men's hairstyles, shoes and addiction to cell phones and texting; now picture Steve McQueen sporting Tom Brady's coiffeur and shoes while updating his Facebook status in a trendy coffee shop. Steve McQueen would rather — and in fact did — die than let that be his life. Carolla discusses all things manly in his stand-up act tonight at the Pageant, but first he signs copies of In Fifty Years We'll All Be Chicks at 3 p.m. at Vintage Vinyl (6610 Delmar Boulevard, University City). Books are available through Subterranean Books (314-862-6100 or store.subbooks.com), and admission is free.
