Hot and Glassy

Halloween brings out the sexiness in some nurses, kittens and maids from France, but the season also can conjure up a bit of mischief in other folks, providing them with a fair amount of persuasion to soap up the grouchy neighbor’s windows or host a pumpkin smashing party. The folks at Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard; 314-367-4527 or fit more in the latter category, but rather than firing up trouble in the neighborhood, they keep the naughtiness within the glass studio and throw a party to celebrate! How considerate! This month’s Third Friday extravaganza honors the tenth birthday of Third Degree and offers up all manner of spooky seasonal fun. Get in on the mischief from 6 to 10 p.m. and help decide which artist-made glass pumpkins shall continue to exist and which ones shall live no more -- bwah-ha-ha-ha! In addition to this Pumpkin Death Match, there’s a zombie performance, eats, drinks, music and the collaborative creation of a gigantic glass pumpkin monstrosity, which will be raffled off at the end of the night. Admission, and a fair amount of good, clean Halloween fun, are free; food and such will cost you.
