A duo of former Quadrajets Chet "the Cheetah" Weise and J.R.R. Tokien, ILCK II claims as influences Hound Dog Taylor, Black Sabbath, John Coltrane and Pussy Galore, among others. And though two-piece rock bands seem to be rather fashionable of late, the Killers mince no words about who is the loudest and meanest. Guitarist Weise makes up for the lack of stringful accompaniment by splitting his signal between two amps -- one for bass and one for treble -- and creates an orgy of squeal and squawk in the process. Tokien's drumming is a slap on the forehead from a burning preacher. As the band puts it, "Now we will become the color of the universe, and we will be powerful trouble."
Rounding out the evening will be the respective ever-lovin' of Lofreq and the Phonocaptors. Break your bonds and rejoice.
