The editors of Informal History invite the public to join them for a relaxed gathering to
talk and celebrate all things St. Louis history. Informal History is a new publication that aims to capture the diversity and creativity of the local historical research scene, everything from professional archivists and public historians to house historians and amateur researchers who love to delve deep into their own family history. The launch event hopes to pull the curtain back from
behind the practice of “informal history,” featuring brief talks from public historians,
hobby historians, writers, and artists. Informally speaking, that is.
