Price Tabulator, Sow-Belly Futures
"Aw, c'mon, why worry about it? With all the things there are to avoid -- the IRS, the DEA, the process server, DUIs, marriage -- avoiding STDs is way down on the list. Besides, what's a little gonorrhea between friends?"

Sandra Weible
Financial Analyst
"Depends on who it is that might have it. If I was in love -- or if it was Brad Pitt -- I would overlook VD. Worrying about it is not worth giving up the chance to fall in love."

Rohan Fernando
Documentary Filmmaker, BBR Productions - Montreal
"It's not a major concern, unless I'm having first-time sex with somebody I don't know, and then I'll use a condom. But that rarely happens -- I'm not a big one-night-stand guy. And anyway, it's too much effort to try to have casual sex with a girl. You have to really like her, which takes a while, so by the time we get to the point of sex, if she did have some, uh, liability, I think she'd tell me."

Marissa Robinson
Sales, Tantrum [Women's Clothing]
"Not really, 'cause I'm not that active, but if I was to get with somebody it would be a concern because...well, I don't want it. Even if you can get rid of it, why should I have to worry about getting rid of it when I shouldn't never have gotten it, know what I mean? You should always protect yourself, because you might run up against something like HIV. That'd mess up your whole life, you'd never be the same again."

Paul Grisham
Driver, St. Louis American Cab Company
"I mean, I really don't know too much about it, but yeah, you've got to avoid it as much as possible. You have to stay away from trash, like street people, you know, and get yourself checked out by a real doctor and get married like I did."

Danielle Pierie
High School Senior
"Yeah, I'd say so because, okay, no matter how well you know a person, if you're not with them 24/7, you don't know what they're doing. I have this friend whose boyfriend is really obsessed with her and then it turned out he cheated on her and you'd never think this guy would do that. Some of the guys I like are older than me which means more experience. So I get tested, my mom takes me, and I always use protection. I just think it's important."
