"The Price of the Ticket" is a serious biographical film that recounts the life, works, and beliefs of the late writer and civil rights activist James Baldwin. The film captures the passionate and prophetic writing of a man who was born black, impoverished, gay and gifted in a world that has yet to understand that all men are brothers. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Karla Frye and featured panelist include Poet activist Freeman Word, Johnson Lancaster and Jane Ellen Ibur. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
