St. Louisans who have been out and about at all in this town know that we have some fabulously frisky burlesque dancers. Our ladies can shimmy and shake it like nobody's business! But what of other burlesque troupes, the traveling, in-from-out-of-town kind? Do their performers know tempting tricks our teases don't? Or do these women practice an art of seduction similar to the one we St. Louisans know and love? The only way to be positively certain is by catching each and every burlesque show we can — it's a hard job (ha!) but somebody's got to do it (ha!). Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue; 314-773-3363 or www.offbroadwaystl.com) helps us out on our quest when it hosts the Pretty Things Peepshow. This traveling burlesque showcase features SuicideGirl Bettina May, fire performer Angelica Insectavora and other regular cast members, plus, St. Louis' own Lola Van Ella takes the stage as well! How sexy! Tickets to this enticing evening cost $8 to $13, depending upon if you make your purchase in advance and if you are 21 or older; the doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show begins at 9 p.m. Enjoy! (Like you had to be reminded to do that!)
