Jimmy Webb

Legendary songwriter, arranger and performer Jimmy Webb returns to St. Louis for a special three-night stand (Thursday, March 17, through Saturday, March 19) at the Kranzberg Arts Center (501 North Grand Boulevard; 314-725-4200, extension 10, or www.licketytix.com). Webb just spent a month in the UK and Ireland, so he's primed to share some seasonally-appropriate stories of his times in the Emerald Isle, including a few about his good friend, Richard Harris. In addition to the stories, you'll get a generous helping of those songs that Mr. Webb pens with such grace and human warmth, such as "Wichita Lineman," "The Moon's A Harsh Mistress" and "By The Time I Get to Phoenix." Showtime is 8 p.m. nightly, and tickets are $35 to $55.
