Joanie Loves Bocce

Don’t you?

Gas prices are around four dollars a gallon, and our country struggles to wean itself from its dependency on foreign oil. Who wants to think about fuel right now? It’s time we talked about a better sort of Fuel — the kind that promotes the city of St. Louis through networking opportunities, social gatherings and volunteer efforts, and offers a different kind of energy for the city’s young professionals. This month’s meet-up takes place at 6 p.m. at Milo’s Bocce Garden (5201 Wilson Avenue; 314-776-0468). As the name implies, Milo’s is famous for its outdoor bocce courts, where well-seasoned lawn-bowlers from the surrounding Hill neighborhood and visiting amateurs can share strategies and techniques.
