Judith Shaw: Moving On

Judith Shaw’s “Moving On” series opens at Duet March 2nd as a pop up show in both a literal and figurative sense.  Her work consists of shredded and blown up vulcanized rubber tires reconfigured into 3-D constructs.  Found as roadside debris, the pieces evoke devastation and fragility as well as resilience and renewal. The work alludes to the accelerating pace of everyday life and explosive interruptions that often result. Dislocation and disposability are part of the visual narrative.
