Keep on Rockin'

You deserve it

By the time this day is through, you'll have been at the office for a total of eight long hours. Perhaps you weren't working as hard as you could've been that entire time — hey, we're not here to judge — but you still sat in that stiff chair for a third of a day of your life that you'll never get back. Unfair, right? To rectify this inequity, you need to devote at least as much time to partying. But instead of jumping from club to club for hours on end like you usually do, just head over to rBar (4054 Chouteau Avenue; 314-480-2415 or www.rbarstl.com) tonight at 7 p.m. to start your weekend. There, you'll find the Rock the Runway II celebration, hosted by PR man-about-town Dwight Carter (pictured with model). He's your guest bartender from 7 to 9 p.m. (your tips benefit the St. Patrick Center), a fashion show of vintage wears from Timeless Authentic Garments (TAG) begins at 9:30 p.m. (the cover is $7 for this part of the night; $5 afterward), and DJs keep the party going until 3 a.m. Now, how's that for a weekend jumpstart?
