Kitaro Bistro of Japan

Located in O'Fallon, Missouri, along Highway K just north of Highway 40, Kitaro Bistro serves up hibachi-style Japanese food, sushi and entrées for lunch and dinner. The chefs inside this large, glass-fronted restaurant in a modern, elegant setting put on a show with food and fire right at the dinner table. Diners can grab a seat at a teppan table, with seats surrounding a large, flat griddle and order a meal chopped up and cooked right in front of them. Entrée options include teriyaki chicken or steak, shrimp, lobster and fresh garden vegetables, or various combinations. Dinners prepared before your eyes are served with a grilled shrimp appetizer, soup, fried rice, salad and Japanese vegetables. Kitaro also offers a full sushi bar, with an all-you-can-eat buffet available Sunday through Thursday early evenings. The long list of nigiri and maki include options such as a golden lobster with sautéed lobster tail, smelt roe, cucumber and crab and the St. Charles roll of fried red snapper, cream cheese and cucumber. Kitaro also serves drinks and desserts and is available for private parties.
