Kramer's Marionnette Theater

Nestled on a residential street in the Central West End, Kramer's Marionnette Theatre has delighted generations of St. Louis children with its wholesome puppet shows, and it continues to do so today, despite the fact that the marionettes are decidedly non-electronic and are operated by hand. In fact, the five shows each season likely appeal to little ones because the carefully crafted puppets have real, hand-painted faces that aren't obstructed by glowing screens. Made in the onsite workshop, each puppet takes around 1,500 hours to create -- and before each show, you can learn about the process, and you can even buy a puppet friend to bring home!
