Laugh Your Ass Off

Five years ago, at age 27, St. Peters resident Tammy Figg experienced sheer happiness – and then unthinkable heartache. That year, she became engaged to her sweetheart, Bryan. But just six weeks before the wedding, she received a shocking diagnosis: colorectal cancer. Highly uncommon in adults younger than 50, the cancer wreaked havoc on Tammy’s health and jeopardized her and Bryan’s chance of having a family. The young couple had very little money for expensive treatments, so their friends and family set up a foundation to help them. Today, Tammy and Bryan have a healthy baby boy, and the Figg Tree Foundation provides education, support and financial assistance to colorectal-cancer patients nationwide. Want to help this most-worthy cause? Do so tonight at 7 p.m., when the foundation presents What’s Up Your Butt? at the Comedy Forum (4141 North Cloverleaf Drive, St. Peters; 636-498-1234 or www.comedyforum.com). This humorous, informative show features popular local comedian David Graham, and your $10 ticket price helps further the Figg Tree Foundation’s mission. Visit Visit www.comedyforum.com or call 636-498-1234 to reserve a seat.
