We've had a couple of high-profile matches of the beautiful game in the past year, but the next tilt is personal. The national team of Bosnia-Herzegovinia plays Argentina tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar Street; 314-345-9000 or www.cardinals.com/soccer). Yeah. Argentina may have the pedigree and the international cachet -- Lionel Messi will do that for you [UPDATE: Messi ain't playing now.] -- but Bosnia is definitely the home-town favorite. Hell, our town wouldn't be on the upswing if it weren't for the tens of thousands of Bosnian immigrants who arrived in the 90s. They gave the city a boost in population, in tax base, in construction and also brought a new spirit to this old river town. One-time St. Louisan Vedad Ibevsic leads the World-Cup bound Bosnians against Argentina for the glory of his country and the delight of his second home town, so the least we can do is show up in force and cheer 'em on. Remaining tickets are $60 to $285.
