<'Tis the season of lights! Everywhere you turn, lights are there. Over on the neighbor's roof? Check. Wrapped around the perimeter of your cubicle? Uh-huh. Inside that file cabinet? Sure. Sure? It's part of Internal Illumination, the new exhibit at the Foundry Art Centre (520 North Main Center, St. Charles). More than twenty artists created two- and three-dimensional works that are lit from within by either chemical or electrical means. Alex Elmestad's Classification of Light (pictured) takes that dictum both literally and with a sense of humor. Internal Illumination opens with a free public reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 21. The show remains up through Friday, February 1 (every day except Sunday). For more information on this or upcoming exhibitions, call 636-255-0270 or visit www.foundryartcentre.org.
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: Dec. 21. Continues through Feb. 1, 2007
