Lights! Sound! Christmas!

This time of year drives most of us into a frenzy of shopping, baking and decorating. Sure, we pretend to be calm, collected and true connoisseurs of eggnog, but sometimes you just need to let that holiday fervor out. And there's still one place where going wild is acceptable: the U.S. Bank Wild Lights at the Saint Louis Zoo in Forest Park. From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening, you can enjoy the amazing light displays featuring zoo animals and nearly a half-million bulbs. Plus, check out the Penguin & Puffin Coast, enjoy fireside storytelling, or get in some shopping at the Holiday Zootique and Build-A-Bear Workshop. Admission to this holiday jungle is $4 to $5, and kids younger than two get in free. Parking in the south lot is also free, which is convenient because you need to enter the zoo through the south gates. The Wild Lights Nights continue Thursday through Saturday (November 24 through December 9; nightly December 14 through 23 and December 26 to 30). For more information call 314-781-0900 or visit www.stlzoo.org.
Thursdays-Saturdays; Dec. 14-23; Dec. 26-30. Starts: Nov. 24. Continues through Dec. 9
