Like Sands Through the Hourglass

While in college, Ms. Day was very devoted to her studies, just so long as they didn't interfere with her Days of Our Lives time. She would go so far as to schedule her classes around the hourlong soap because she absolutely had to know what those Bradys were up to and how Stefano was going to ruin their plans this time. When Day entered the workforce, try as she might, she never could get any of her employers to approve her proposal of mandatory Days of Our Lives work breaks for the staff, nor would Day's bosses let her have a tiny Days of Our Lives-only TV at her desk. So for years now, she's relied on holidays and sick days to get caught up on her stories. But she won't have to feign illness on Friday, February 22, to get the scoop — she can just ask Jay Kenneth Johnson (pictured), the handsome actor who plays Philip Kiriakis on the show. This Missouri native is appearing at 1 and 5 p.m. at the St. Louis Working Women's Survival Show, which is held at the Saint Charles Convention Center (1 Convention Center Plaza, St. Charles) from Friday through Sunday (February 22 through 24). In addition to Johnson's appearance, the Survival Show offers women all kinds of fun all weekend, from free massages to home-project workshops and from cooking demos to wine-tastings. Tickets to the ladiestravaganza cost $6.50 to $9.50 and can be purchased at in advance (you'll also find exact show times there, too).
