Local Motion: Penelope

Saturday, April 15 at 8 p.m. The Pageant, (6161 Delmar Boulevard)

Thus far, local rapper Penelope's claim to fame has nothing to do with her music: She appeared on America's Most Wanted in recent months, hoping to find the killer of her brother, Tony Jones. But with the upcoming release of her debut full-length album for Motown Records and an opening slot on the Keyshia Cole tour (such as this hometown gig at the Pageant), St. Louis' latest rap export is poised to transcend tragedy and let her rhymes speak for themselves.
