Longstitch Leather-bound Bookbinding

Materials saved from the landfill: paper, leather Skills you’ll learn: longstitch bookbinding, awl An older, German bookbinding technique, the Longstitch, uses a single thread to sew multiple sections into a leather cover. Traditional tools such as a bonefolder and a bookbinder’s awl will be used to prepare the upcycled materials. Each participant will create a small, unique and functional book whose pages open completely, perfect for sketching, note-taking, or other record-keeping. Last day to register: Thursday, March 16
