Closing the Creative Exchange Lab's Design Film Series is a special meta screening, promising to immerse viewers in the work of its titular artist. Take in the story of one of the United States' most iconic designers in Louis Sullivan: The Struggle for American Architecture this Saturday, August 11, at a screening within the walls of the Wainwright Building (111 North 7th Street; 314-340-6801). The Palazzo-style ten story building was one of the very first skyscrapers at the time of its completion in 1891, and it remains one of Sullivan's most iconic structures. Join other architecture enthusiasts for refreshments and discussion at 7 p.m., followed by the screening at 7:30. For more information, visit
