If you thought that spending a night under the stars with the one you love (or are trying to like) was the stuff of high school proms and poetry, think again. The St. Louis Science Center has created the perfect cheap date night for you by simulating the weekend's starry highlight, the Perseid meteor shower, at 7 p.m. in the James S. McDonnell Planetarium (Clayton and Faulkner Drives; 314-289-4424 or After the artificial meteor showers clear up, take a trip to Mars with a screening of the movie Red Planet. This cheap date night is for the 21 and older crowd only, and tickets are $10 to $15.
