When Father Dominic Garramone isn't baking bread for his long-running PBS series, he's baking bread for the St. Bede Abbey in Peru, Illinois, where he teaches church history and runs the drama department. The affable Father Dominic takes his dough on the road this week to promote his new book, The Breadhead Bible: Father Dominic's Favorite Recipes. He appears today at 2:30 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum (Lindell Boulevard and DeBaliviere Avenue; 314-746-4599 or www.mohistory.org) to offer advice for novice breadmakers with the free presentation, "Tools of the Baker's Trade with Father Dominic." In person, this deep friar dishes out sustenance, practical advice and gentle good humor to all. Fr. Dominic hosts a meet-and-greet after the event, at which he will sign copies of The Breadhead Bible.
