Many Women, Few Outfits

Fans of the art of seduction, you're in luck. St. Louis finally has its first burlesque festival: Show-Me Burlesque, and it is packed to the tassels with performers from around the country, classes and public shows of pulchritude from Thursday to Saturday (May 13 to 15) at several locations. Friday night, for example, features two shows at Off Broadway (3509 Lemp Avenue). At 8 p.m. the Student Spectacular lights up the stage via the talents of Roxy Red Rockets and Dewy de Cimalle, as well as special guests the Men of Zombie Squad. At 10:30 p.m. the Superstar Showcase, hosted by Nadine Dubois, gives you a gander at the likes of Ophelia Flame (pictured), Kitty Twist and Jeez Loueez. Tickets are $15 to $18 per show, or you can go the festival pass route ($50) and get into all five official shows, if you're up for it. For the full schedule and performer lists, go to
