Memories of Elvis / Thomas Hickey

8 p.m. Saturday, January 6. The Pageant (6161 Delmar Boulevard).

Local performer Steve Davis has been donning a sequined jumpsuit and coiffing his hair in a pompadour for close to twenty years, bringing his Memories of Elvis tribute show to fairgrounds, concert halls and private parties throughout the city. Davis claims to have the largest repertoire of any Elvis impersonator, hitting the highlights of the King's career from his days in Sun Studios to the bloated grandiosity of his Vegas nadir. And if one dead rock icon isn't enough for you, Thomas Hickey will open the show with his tribute to Buddy Holly.
