Listen: Do you smell that? The air is redolent with the delicate scent of pine tar, fungoes and Fredbird musk. A new baseball season is so close you can almost taste the French's on that first ballpark brat. Opening day is still 48 hours in the offing, but you can get a quick hit of baseball tonight when the diamond dandies of the University of Missouri and University of Illinois meet once again in the Braggin' Rights baseball game. Mizzou took last year's game 7-4, but the beginning of the season is always rife with hope, so perhaps our neighbors to the east can even the score this year. The Braggin' Rights baseball game starts at 6:30 p.m. at Busch Stadium (Broadway and Poplar streets; 314-345-9000 or www.cardinals.com), and all tickets are $10.
