MU330

9 p.m. Saturday, June 11. The Firebird, 2706 Olive Street.

Back in the late '90s, one would have been hard-pressed to find a St. Louis band logging more touring miles than the "psycho-ska" punkers in MU330. Amid a string of successful indie releases on the California punk label Asian Man Records, the band embarked on countless U.S. and international tours, developing a significant fan base across the country and overseas in the UK, Japan and Australia. After years of inactivity, the band is now gearing up for Asian Man Records' fifteen-year anniversary celebration in San Francisco. The St. Louis show leading up to the event will serve as a dress rehearsal of sorts, but anyone who's taken in one of MU330's local shows knows full well that madness will ensue. Expect chainsaws, power skanking and celebration of the south-city hoosier.
