Did you know Missouri's state animal is the mule? It's true. And we know what you're thinking -- "Show me!" Kim Carr plans to do just that with her new photography exhibition, Mules Rule. Featuring charming portraits of mules and donkeys, it makes an unlikely yet amicable partner with Presence, the exhibit it's sharing space with at Framations Custom Framing and Art Gallery (218 North Main Street, St. Charles; 636-724-8313 or www.framations.com). Presence features works inspired by or incorporating some form of the human element, from portraits to crowd shots to shadows. After all, as many political pundits and reality television stars have proven, we're not as far removed from donkeys as we'd like to believe. The exhibits open with a free reception Friday, May 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: May 25. Continues through June 28, 2012
