Natural Force

Natural Force showcases Illinois and Missouri-based artists Danne Rhaesa & Megan Singleton. These place-based works raise environmental awareness & engage audiences with nature, from a landscape's physical elements to the rhythms of biological processes. Rhaesa & Singleton incorporate handmade paper and found objects into their sculptures, which are composed of natural materials like plants, seeds, steel wire, wood & flax. Rhaesa's series features abstract, organic relief forms of pyramids and leaves and utilizes unique elements of native plants. Singleton's collection, Surface Tension, is an exploration of the Maine coast, aquaculture & ecology.
