Never Too Much of a Good Thing

All the world's a stage, and...well, you know the rest. And on the off chance that you're not familiar with one of Shakespeare's most famous (read: overused) speeches, the Riverside Shakespeare Theatre Company has you covered with its outdoor park performance of As You Like It. In the rural pastures of France, a young duke, Frederick, usurps his older brother and declares several members of the court banished, including his young cousin Rosalind. She and her friend Celia escape from the court and disguise themselves as a boy, Ganymede, and a poor girl Aliena, respectively. In Arden they come upon a group of the men, some of whom are composing love poems for Rosalind. How can she suddenly reveal her identity without causing trouble? Find out tonight at the 8 p.m. premiere of As You Like It in Frontier Park (500 South Riverside Drive, St. Charles). Free performances continue through July 1.
