New Leash on Life

This Monday your canine companions can help their less fortunate four-legged friends simply by taking a bath at A Day for the Strays fundraising event benefiting Stray Rescue St. Louis. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., doggie daycare and boarding business the Watering Bowl (7409 South Lindbergh Boulevard; 314-892-8779) will offer discounts on many of its key services -- including a $5 nail special and a $5 discount off of baths -- with all proceeds going to aid abused and abandoned pets. Dogs coming to do their part must be current on their vaccinations and go through a “sniff around” initiation to make sure they are ready to join in the festivities. For all of the details and to see dogs currently up for adoption, visit www.strayrescue.org.
